Garth and Julie Winwood at the original Garden Centre site, in Stone Cross, established ‘Stone Cross Nurseries’ in 1956.  The family business of Stone Cross is now run by their son Garry Winwood. 

Originally being a walled kitchen garden for a large country house. It has and is still producing everything from vegetables and fruit to flowers, bedding, shrubs and trees, with 'Bedding plants' being the main love of founder Garth Winwood.

Now, 54 years on, we are now sowing, growing and selling from Dittons Nursery.
